Further randomness from the mind of your Innkeeper…
London 2012 – I so love the Olympics, always have. I also love to be a cynic as to the broadcasting and general bureaucracy of the whole event, this year leaving me with an abundance of opportunities ripe for jaded, yet hilarious, commentary. Example – just a moment ago, we got a lesson on the Prime Meridian from NBC. Don’t you want to say something sarcastic about that? Of course you do.
Onto politics…I’m not sure if Mike wants the acknowledgment or not, but since I’ve adopted it as my own, I have a hunch as to the Romney VP pick. I don’t think it’s Condi, or even Rudio, nor do I think it will be from a slate of boring or obese white dudes. My guess goes to Puerto Rico’s governor Luis Fortuño. He’d made a great pick for Romney. Plus, it would be fun to incorporate a tilde into everyday typing for awhile. Don’t read into this as an endorsement for Romney. It’s a guess as to his VP pick and nothing more.
Family Trees? I got em! I can’t recall if I’ve mentioned that I have a pretty well documented tree for the family that I’ve married into. If you’d like access to it, let me know. If you have any to add, even better, and definitely let me know.
Finally, I can’t walk. No, I’m not disabled. No, I’m not mocking the disabled. I, when playing the bass, can not find the right time to insert a walk/turnaround. If any of you musicians out there have any tips, I’ll give it a shot. This is proving to be my latest musical Achilles heel. I feel like Clark Griswold in London.
With reference to London, I’ve come full circle. I’m out. Good night.
