Go Team Food!

Tomorrow is Superbowl Big Game Sunday. I’m not so interested in who wins, but it does give us an opportunity to make a huge quantity of food.

The shopping is done and our menu will be:

  • guacamole, homemade of course
  • taco dip – a layer of sour cream & taco seasoning mix, a layer of black beans, and a layer of cheddar cheese
  • a cheese plate consisting of dill havarti, seasoned/fresh mozzarella, and aged, white, sharp cheddar, along with a nut assortment
  • baked bacon, onion, cream cheese dip
  • cucumber sandwiches
  • teriyaki chicken wings
  • mild and hot chicken wings
  • strawberry shortcake, with homemade whip cream and on puff pasty instead of yellow cake

    • Our guests are bringing shrimp dip and beef sandwiches. Hope that’s enough food.

    Now here’s hoping that no one shows up to the game and we see a big, empty stadium. The teams suck and so will the weather – in Arlington that is – we’ll have the windows open.
