Birthday Dinner

As is our tradition, I loosely designed and Mike executed yet another incredible birthday dinner. The main course was a rack of lamb marinated in oregano, thyme, rosemary, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. I think that was everything. We grilled that and served it with a sauce (nearly an au jus) of sauteed shallots, butter, stock, chardonnay, tomato paste, and worcestershire (I feel like I’m forgetting something with the sauce). The sides were a very refreshing cucumber salad as well as roasted red pepper hummus and grilled pitas. For dessert we deep fried some home made apple fritters, rolled in cinnamon and sugar, and served with vanilla ice cream.

Yet another successful birthday dinner. Thanks Mike!
