Who is this dude in the black hood with a scythe following me around?
Since nearly the beginning of this year, I have been bitching that the weather is nice or at least tolerable all week, and then the weekend comes and it sucks. We had been stuck in this recurring pattern until this very weekend.
Right now, it is finally gorgeous out. Upper 70s going to 80s, everything’s blooming, the sun is shining, birds are singing, squirrels are acting squirrelly. And here I am with one of the worst head colds I’ve had in years. Came down with it Tuesday. Hopefully, it peaked out last night (when I briefly considered clawing off the flesh of my face to get my sinuses to stop hurting). I’ll be damned it I’m not going to find a way to enjoy this weather. Even if that means I crawl out on all fours and pass out in a backyard of leaves that I should be raking.

You and I are in the same boat, my dear. My head cold also started on Tuesday, and I feel like my head is about to explode. I even find myself periodically wishing that it would.
*raises juice glass* Here’s to chicken soup and to passing out in the backyard.
