I’ve been watching Orin Hatch make an ass of himself all morning on C-Span2. If it wasn’t so real, it would be funny to watch someone try to defend marriage as some sacred act that needs government protection. You know he even had the nerve to say, “It’s my job to preserve the Constitution.” Oh yeah? Since when does the Constitution dictate the federal government needs to get involved in a private contract between two people?

ALL civil unions should be legal and need not be registered with any state. Typical social engineering bullshit. The House is showing no interest in intervening in corporate contract construction - why extend it to us privately?
